Colour Aesthetic Experimentations in the Rgb Computer Environment

Visual designers and artists may benefit from understanding computer colour models such as the RGB colour cube. Such an understanding may foster reasoned colour selection and design decisions for the RGB environment. The goal of this research is to examine the RGB colour cube and to explore its potential as a colour design tool. In order to achieve such objectives, visualization methods were developed for analysis purposes and reference guides produced. RGB colours were examined (1) as planes directly extracted from the RGB cube and (2) as tonal and hue families. Based on the analysis, RGB colours were systematically selected to be integrated in live colour projections for performances, art installations, and several fundamental experimental colour studies. This research provides groundwork for the formalization of a digital colour aesthetics. Графичните дизайнери и художниците имат предимството да познават компютърните цветови модели като RGB цветовия куб. Това предимство благоприятства изборът на цвят и дизайнерското решение за RGB средата. Целта на това изследване е тестване на RGB пространството и използване на неговите възможности като инструмент за цветен дизайн. За намиране на обективност в предаването на цветовете, бяха разработени визуализиращи методи за анализ на целите и създаване на съответните указания. RGB пространството беше тествано (1) като равнинни сечения директно изведени от куба и (2) като сходни тоналности по цветови тон. На базата на анализа RGB цветовете са систематизирани и селектирани за интегриране в реални проекции за представления, художествени инсталации и някои основни експериментални цветови студия. Това изследване създава база за формализация на числените цветови модели в естетика.
